Maxine Turner and Domini Turner are featured regularly in local and national publications, including: Salt Lake Magazine, Utah Style & Design, Utah Bride, Utah Business Magazine, the Salt Lake Tribune, the Deseret News; and nationally in the New York Times, the Denver Post, Special Event Magazine, Catering Magazine and Event Solutions. Maxine was also featured in the book, Women Who Mean Business.
A favorite with the news media, Maxine produced, “Maxine in the Kitchen”, a series of half-hour cooking shows that run nationally on Clear Channel HD Channels. She also appears regularly in cooking segments of news and feature programs on the Salt Lake City ABC, CBS, Fox and NBC television stations. In addition, her reputation and years of experience have made Maxine a trusted source for food writers around the country on industry trends. And she says one of the biggest highlights of her career was dining with Julia Child in New York in conjunction with a James Beard Foundation award.
In 2010, Cuisine Unlimited became part of Inc. Magazine’s prestigious list of, “Fastest-Growing Businesses in America”. Cuisine Unlimited transformed the UMFA Cafe into a sleek, chic cocktail club last night for Salt Lake Magazine’s 11th Annual Dining Awards. Dramatic black and copper-draped tables and arches and soaring floral arrangements of birds of paradise created a champagne atmosphere for Utah chefs and restaurateurs to meet and mingle before the ceremony.
I have a special appreciation for the organizational skills it takes to set up a temporary restaurant, serve guests with grace for a concentrated period, and then make the whole thing disappear in a matter of minutes.
