National & International Projects
Cuisine Unlimited Catering & Special Events has had the honor of catering events nationally and internationally for our clients. Projects have included events in New York, Chicago, Minneapolis, and several Western States. We have also provided our services in multiple overseas countries.
The Sundance Film Festival is a major, internationally-recognized independent film festival taking place annually in Park City, and Salt Lake City, Utah. Since 2003, Cuisine Unlimited has exclusively catered many of the parties and private events for the Sundance Institute. During the twelve-day period, we cater more than 40 official events as part of the festival, as well as celebrations for corporations and individuals participating in the festivities.
Cuisine Unlimited first became involved with the Olympics began with the 1996 Atlanta Summer Games, assisting New York and Florida catering firms with their Olympic contracts. This provided us with great experience, and prepared our company to successfully assist clients during the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Games.
Our services were very much in demand in Salt Lake City. With a team of more than 380 staff members, we catered major events for the United States Olympic Committee and other prestigious clients. In addition, we provided continuous hospitality to 17 corporate clients as well as foreign countries and Olympic organizations. In total, we served over 350,000 meals during the Olympic period. Maxine Turner, President & CEO, was featured on The Evening News with Dan Rather and the CBS Morning Report.
We are very proud to have been selected as the official caterer at USA House during both the 2004 Athens Summer Games and 2006 Torino Winter Games. Maxine and Marvin Turner were invited to serve as consultants with the 2010 Legacies Now organization under the auspices of the Vancouver Organizing Committee.
Following the 2010 Vancouver Winter Games, Maxine Turner wrote the US Welcome Pavilion. When implemented, the project is planned to provide the first open-to-the-public hospitality center representing the United States at the Olympic Games, with the goal of eventually extending to World Cup, World Expo, and other international events bringing together people and cultures from around the world in celebration.
Republican National Convention
Members of the Cuisine Unlimited staff were asked to assist a catering colleague with their major projects at the Republication National Convention held in 2008 in Minneapolis. Maxine Turner, along with our executive chef and sous chef, headed catering operations for the Official Proceeding while Marvin Turner headed all food and beverage services for CBS. Several private suites for dignitaries, including Vice President Dick Cheney, were under our direction, as well as large single night events for sponsors.
